On September 29^th, New Century 92 and 95, which are two new-built large scale squid fishing vessels of Ocean Family, after the official delivery of vessel at Shandong Penglai, sail to Zhoushan Shenjiamen port. This is also the second batch of Ocean Family’s new-built large scale squid fishing vessels. 

    Aiming to ease the pressure on the inshore fishery resource, optimize the industrial structure of ocean fishery, win more shares of the utilization of the international fishery resource, and further strengthen the competitiveness, the company captured the opportunity of developing the marine economy of China and at the end of 2012 launched the upgrading project which would build six squid fishing vessels. The project would be implemented in batches from 2013 to 2014.

    The construction of New Century 92 and 95 started at the end of 2013, built by Shandong Penglai Zhongbai Jinglu Shipyard Ltd. Each of these two vessels has the length of 69.3m, engine power of 2000kw and gross tonnage of 1180t, leading the construction standard of fishing vessel in the country, having the great adaptability of fishing and being the new generation of squid fishing vessel in China. After the delivery of vessels, these two fishing vessels will recently go to the sea area of Argentina for the ocean fishery operation, adding new energy for the development of the company, creating new economic benefits, and further promoting the development of the ocean fishery of Zhejiang province.
