On October 13th, Alibaba hosts the opening ceremony of “2015 global Double 11 event of Tmall.com” at Hangzhou Xixi Zone. Ocean Family’s fresh bluefin tuna reaches the top of the fresh food business: becoming the first big global order.
When visits the exhibition area of the opening ceremony, Mr. Jack Ma, the chairman of the board of directors of Alibaba Group, has the strong interest on a fresh bluefin tuna of Ocean Family. He opens the mobile version of Taobao and scans the QR code, on the spot, to create the first big order of the fresh food of “Double 11 of 2015”: purchasing a tuna, at the price of 38,888 RMB.
It is reported that this fresh bluefin tuna has the weight of 68kgs, shipped directly by air from Japan to the site of the ceremony within 24 hours and preserved under low-temperature within the whole delivery chain. The official pre-selling process of same commodity has started on Miaoxiansheng of Tmall.com at extreme low price.
