On May 18th, Ocean Family’s large-scale purse seining fleet brings us the good news from the Pacific Ocean fishing ground: “New Century 118”, the company’s new-purchased vessel, harvests its first catch at the third day of the voyage, with the catch weight of 50 tons and value of 60 thousand U.S. dollars. It only takes 22 days, from the time point of making the investment to harvesting the catch.
On May 15th, after finishing all preparation works, Ocean Family’s “New Century 118” directly starts the voyage, with the whistle, to the Pacific Ocean fishing ground for tunas. The annual catch of the vessel will be predicted to reach 6,000 tons. And this symbolizes that the company’s large-scale purse seining fleet adds the new “team member”, totally having three groups of fishing vessels.
