On 25th November, Mr. Zengbo, the general manager of Ocean Family’s Shanghai branch, wins “the award of the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries of Japan in 2016”. The award is issued together by Mr. Shinzo Abe, the prime minster of Japan, and Mr. Yuji Yamamoto, the minster of the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries of Japan. The award is the achievement prize for the promotion of Japanese cuisine culture overseas, meaning that Ocean Family has made a huge contribution for the popularization of Japanese aquatic products and cuisine culture in China. And also this is the first time that this award is issued to enterprise and relevant responsible people in mainland China.
Recently, accompanying the increase of people’s living standard, seafood under Ocean Family brand, which is pursuing to provide “safe, reassuring, healthy, and delicious seafood”, is getting more and more reorganization. Every year, Ocean Family delivers around 300 tons Japanese fresh fishes by air to more than 1000 high-end restaurants in China and especially the sales of fresh bluefin tuna occupy 80% market share of the fresh bluefin tuna market in China, launching Ocean Family’s brand image and market position.
The award of the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries of Japan was established in 2008, mainly honoring to groups or personals which have the important contribution for the export of Japanese agricultural, forestall, aquatic products and foods and continuously promote Japanese culture and cuisine culture overseas. The award is the highest prize within the areas of agriculture, forestry and fishery in Japan. Every year, there are only 5 persons who can win this award in the world.
