August 23th 2011, Charles Canellg, the chairman of U.S. WCPFC (Western and Central Pacific Fisheries Commission), Russell. F. Smith, the director of the bureau of National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration of U.S. Department of Commerce, and other two persons visit Ocean Family’s tuna processing base in Ningbo. Ocean Family is one of the biggest Chinese longline and purse-seine production and processing enterprises in Pacific region. Mr. Zeng Yue Xiang, the president of Ocean Family, and Mr. Charles Canellg, the chairman of U. S. WCPEC, have an open discussion about how to protect the tuna resources and stably develop tuna longline and purse-seine business.
