In 2011, the export of aquatic products in Ningbo increased dramatically, achieving the new historical record: the total export tonnage hits 210,000 tons and the total export revenue reaches 698 million US Dollars, with the growth rate of 16.27% and 34.35% respectively comparing with the same period of time of last year. The export revenue of aquatic products in Ningbo is approaching the new height of 700 million US Dollars since the export revenue first time broke through 500 million US Dollars in 2010. The export of high-end aquatic products grows rapidly. For example, the annual export volume of tunas is 99,829,700 US Dollars (all from Ocean Family), an increase of 59.31% with the absolute growth amount of 37,165,900 US Dollars.
